Forum Title: Issues with Blue tape on semi-gloss Oil?

We are finishing up a high end millwork painting project where we used Pratt & Lambert Redseal for the top coat. Even after a week of cure time, any blue tape (both regular and orange label) that we place on the curing paint is etching the finish. We have tried leaving tape on for less than 24 hours but you can still see it. Anyone else ever had this issue with oil based paint? Any solutions?

Wow thats crazy. Have you tried yellow delicate surface frog tape. That is the lightest tape I have found. What do you mean by etching. Is it removing paint or just discoloring or effecting the sheen?
